Register of Clinical Technologists

The Register of Clinical Technologists (the RCT) is a register for healthcare scientists concerned with the practical application of physics, engineering and technology to clinical practice. Clinical technologists work in National Health Service (NHS) hospitals, private health care, academic institutions and the medical device industry.

Every three years, we undertake a full assessment of Accredited Registers against our Standards. We will soon be starting the full assessments for renewal of accreditation for the RCT. We are interested to hear of your experience of the RCT that could impact on their ability to comply with our Standards.  The deadline for sharing feedback with us is by 25 June 2026. You can share your experience via this webform: Share your experience: RCT – Fill out form.
