The British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) is the Chartered Society for Worker Health Protection. It is host to the Faculty of Occupational Hygiene, the professional standards body for occupational hygienists. Occupational hygienists are specialists deemed competent to ensure protection of people from all forms of occupational disease, in line with Regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations.
The Register of Occupational Hygiene Professionals will be launched in the New Year
We accredited the British Occupational Hygiene Society with the following Condition, which they must fulfil by 2 June 2024:
- Standard Five: BOHS’ complaints procedures should allow for appropriate lay input.
