Due to in part to Covid-19 impacts, for some registers there are delays in issuing re-accreditation. If a register’s accreditation is delayed, this will be stated on its directory page, which you can find by clicking on the name of the register from the list below. Accreditation status is still valid when delays occur, and we are working to address delays as swiftly as possible.

  • Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council

    The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) is a voluntary regulator of complementary healthcare practitioners. They were established with Department of Health funding and support and their key purpose is to protect the public.

  • Federation of Holistic Therapists

    The FHT is a professional association for therapists and has been committed to developing and promoting high standards in therapy training and practice for more than 55 years. It runs the largest Accredited Register of complementary therapists independently approved by the Professional Standards Authority, covering 17 different therapies that can be used safely alongside standard medical care.

  • International Federation of Aromatherapists

    The International Federation of Aromatherapists (IFA) awards qualifications as an Awarding Body and is also the Professional Body for aromatherapists worldwide, established in 1985. The IFA is a charity set up in the public interest, whose purpose is the preservation of health and wellbeing by advancing the knowledge, practice of and expertise in aromatherapy by education, teaching and training. IFA provides a register of globally qualified and regulated aromatherapists who engage in evidence-based practice for the safety of the public.
