With the publication of this report, we are hoping to start a conversation to look at how we can tackle the challenges and we put forward our recommendations to ensure safer care for all.
Safer care for all: what progress has been made?
The publication of our new Strategic Plan for 2026 to 2029 in April 2026 prompted us to ask "what progress has been made?" since we published Safer care for all in September 2022. We took a look back at progress and have produced a short summary highlighting what has changed across the report’s four themes, where safety gaps remain, and what still needs to happen (published in July 2026).
