Response to Northern Ireland Department of Health consultation on its Being Open Framework

In our response to this consultation from the Northern Ireland Department of Health, we outline our support for the Being Open Framework  and its aims to deliver safe, effective and quality care. The levels of openness and components of culture (formal structures, accepted behaviours and agreed beliefs) provide an inclusive and accessible structure to support health and social care organisations to develop and embed routine cultures of openness to allow staff to respond in an open and appropriate manner when things go wrong.
