Read more about us and our workWe are looking to recruit a talented individual to join our Board as an Associate Member. In order to increase the diversity of our Board, we actively seek and encourage applications from under-represented groups. We appreciate the lived experience that the right candidate can bring to the PSA Board, and this is an excellent opportunity for someone thinking about applying for a Non-Executive role at some point in the future.
You may have experience of working within health and social care, but if not, you will have the enthusiasm and drive to learn about and understand the field we work in. If you think you have the right skills but are unsure if your experience is relevant, please feel free to contact us about the role for an informal chat.
We will provide you with a structured induction and a Mentor who is a serving Non-Executive Board Member. You will have the opportunity to be part of the Board as well as serve on both our Scrutiny Committee and Audit and Risk Committee during the two-year programme.
We are the oversight body for 10 statutory regulators of professionals working in the Health and Social Care sectors. We also have oversight of Accredited Registers. Our role is to promote the health, safety and wellbeing of patients, service users and the public by raising standards of regulation and registration of people working in health and care. We are a small, independent body, accountable to the UK Parliament.
We are seeking a talented and committed individual who demonstrates:
Our values are integrity, transparency, respect, fairness and teamwork – and we strive to ensure that they are at the core of our work and the way in which we operate.
PLEASE NOTE: Given our role overseeing the 10 statutory regulators and Accredited Registers, applicants are not eligible for this role if they have ever been registered with any of the 10 statutory registers or the Accredited Registers. If you have been an employee of either of the 10 statutory regulators or the Accredited Registers this restriction does not apply.
As a Disability Confident employer, we will guarantee an interview for people with disabilities who meet all the essential criteria and so if you would like to be considered under this scheme then please let us know.
