About the role

We are looking to recruit a Finance Administrator to join our Finance team within the Corporate Services Directorate on a fixed-term contract to cover Maternity Leave for 12 months. The team is responsible for managing the organisation’s day-to-day financial operations and supporting strong financial management across the organisation.

As the Finance Administrator you will be working in small finance team alongside a Finance Officer and a Head of Finance. In your role you will be responsible for:

  • completing Purchase to Pay process including Purchase Orders, Invoices, Expenses and processing payments
  • maintaining Sales ledger
  • preparing Key performance indicators (KPI) and transparency data for the website
  • working on the PSA payroll system to prepare and input monthly payroll and working with the payroll company to produce accurate outputs
  • updating NHS pensions providers portal with all necessary information such as contributions, staff changes etc
  • supporting the Head of Finance by ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and available for audit fieldwork.

We currently operate a hybrid working policy. In the first sixth months of employment full-time staff working five days will be expected to attend the office three days a week, after this the requirement is two days a week in the office. About you

We are looking to recruit a Finance Administrator who has:

  • experience in working in accounts payable, receivable and payroll with a good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
  • capability of working in a small team environment with the ability to work to deadlines
  • good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Sage 50, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word
  • good communication skills, both written and verbal - the role will involve dealing with suppliers /customers and bank
  • attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors.

You will need and a strong commitment to protecting patients and the public. You will also need to share our values of integrity, transparency, respect, fairness and teamwork.
