The Authority's response to the General Optical Council's consultation on its fitness to practise complaints strategy: policy for consensual disposal of cases, published September 2017.

GOC Consultation

We welcome the opportunity to respond to this consultation from the General Optical Council on its proposals for consensual disposal. We are pleased to see that the GOC is exploring ways to improve its processes without the need for changes in its legislation, as the timing of legislative reform is uncertain.
