Working with content creators
We are working with six content creators to help bring the Look Before You Book message to different audiences across social media.
Each creator will share content encouraging people to check who they are booking and look for the PSA Quality Mark where it applies. Their videos will be released throughout August and early September, and we will add them to this page as they go live.
Meet the creators and explore their content below.
- Dr Amir Khan - doctor and health communicator
- The Modern Midwife - midwife and educator
- The Cosmetic Consult – skincare brand founder and podcaster
- A Mother Place – postnatal educator and author
- Joshua Fletcher – anxiety therapist and author posting on Instagram and TikTok
- Cici Coleman - confidence coach and TV presenter

Reaching more people via digital channels
We are also running targeted advertising across Facebook and Instagram to raise awareness of the importance of checking that health and wellbeing practitioners are on an Accredited Register.
Our adverts focus on three key areas - counselling and psychotherapy, non-surgical cosmetic procedures and private pregnancy scans. Using clear, accessible messages, we aim to encourage people to look beyond reviews and recommendations, check their practitioner's credentials and make informed choices about their care.
Below are examples of the digital adverts being used to reach audiences across England and Wales.
The regulation safety gap
New research commissioned by the PSA reveals consumers spend almost as long researching a hotel stay as they do a private baby scan clinic, with 1 in 4 not considering safety checks when booking appointments.
