Authority publishes consultation report on the introduction of an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Standard for Accredited Registers

Following a public consultation on proposals to introduce an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Standard for Accredited Registers, the Authority is publishing the summary report.

The consultation ran from 25 October 2022 to 17 January 2023. We received a wide range of responses which were supportive of the introduction of a new Standard. We have analysed all responses and will be announcing further plans on the introduction of the Standard in the coming weeks.

Alan Clamp, Chief Executive of the Professional Standards Authority, said:

‘We are committed to doing more to promote EDI and working with those we oversee to strengthen their approach. A dedicated EDI Standard for Accredited Registers is a positive step.’
