Explaining our draft reform guidance consultation

Watch this space

This consultation has now closed. However, the FAQs and animations are still useful to set the context and background to our consultation. The next step is to analyse the responses we've received and finalise the guides.

We know that we are asking for feedback on two complex areas of regulation. At first glance, it may not seem obvious why anybody other than staff working for the regulators would be interested. However, because the Physician Associate/Anaesthesia Associate Order is a blueprint for rolling-out reform to other regulators - potentially affecting over 1.5 million health and care professionals with the potential to impact all those they treat or care for, it means it has wider implications than just those two roles.

This is why we want to get as many views on our guidance as we can. Find out more by watching our short(ish) animations on our consultation and the two draft guides as well as the questions we have highlighted where we think your input is essential. You can also read through the more general FAQs below, on reform, our consultation as well as the two areas covered by our drafts (accepted outcomes and rulemaking).
