Professional Standards Authority decides not to accredit the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists

The PSA has decided not to accredit the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists (NCIP) and has published the full decision online today.

A panel initially met on 9 December 2022 to consider whether the NCIP had met all the Standards for Accredited Registers. They hadn’t and therefore the panel issued a range of actions in areas including education and training, governance and complaints handling.

The panel reconvened on 13 September 2023 and decided while some of the actions had been partially met, the NCIP’s register still did not fully meet our Standards for Accredited Registers. The panel confirmed their decision not to accredit the NCIP at this time.
