The report recently published by the Professional Standards Authority, showcasing the success of its Accredited Registers programme, has been praised by leaders across the NHS.
Sue Hill OBE, Chief Scientific Officer, NHS England said:
“Accredited Registers, as this report shows, make an important contribution to ensuring quality practice within health and care multidisciplinary teams and demonstrate the commitment of registrants to aspire to the highest standards. This gives patients the confidence that practitioners on registers with the accreditation mark are both competent and safe. Accredited Registers also provide an important tool for employers to select, assess and ensure the quality of their staff.”
Danny Mortimer, Chief Executive, NHS Employers said:
“I welcome this report and the positive contribution which Accredited Registers are making as part of the health and care workforce. Good quality, integrated care is reliant on a range of providers and practitioners on Accredited Registers are an important part of that. I encourage all employers to look for the Accredited Registers mark when recruiting practitioners.”
