Standards for members of NHS boards and Clinical Commissioning Group governing bodies in England
We were commissioned by the Secretary of State for Health in July 2011 to develop Standards covering personal behaviour, technical competence and business practices.
Following extensive consultation with patients and the public, NHS board members, and other key stakeholders such as NHS Employers, the Institute of Healthcare Management, and the King’s Fund, we developed Standards that put care and compassion at the heart of leadership in the NHS in England.
